Tough job, but someone had to do it. 😉
This morning we were out in the field carrying out noise measurements on a new vessel that will soon be used by the Fisheries Department.
Marine environments bring their own acoustic challenges — engines, onboard equipment, structure-borne vibration, crew areas, operational modes, and the ever-present influence of wind and water. Capturing reliable measurements in real operating conditions is an important part of understanding how a vessel performs and ensuring noise levels are appropriately assessed.
It was great to be involved at this stage of the project and to see the vessel in action before it enters service.
