Behind The Scenes At The Meliora Arts & Lifestyle Festival

Acoustics Consultants Australia (ACA) were engaged by Elysian Art & Music to undertake the Regulation 18 noise compliance process for the popular Meliora Arts and Lifestyle Festival, held in Newlands by the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup.

Our role included noise assessment and modelling, preparing a Noise Management Plan (NMP), on‑site monitoring throughout the event, and compliance reporting – to ensure the music stayed enjoyable for attendees while noise remained reasonable for the surrounding community.

At ACA, we’re not just passionate about what we do – we’re music lovers and performers ourselves. We know how powerful live music can be, and we want to make sure everyone, from the crowd to the neighbours, has the best experience possible.

And of course, after the job was done, we stayed for a bit and joined in the fun too…!
